Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
I came for the man made snow loop (actually a T, but they were moving snow guns around this afternoon so it might become a real loop soon...) and I stayed for the natural snow. It was snowing at very slow rate the whole time, the trails were skiable ok, still a little sketchy under the conifers. Man made snow was getting really fast by the end of the day. Really nice classic tracks.

Good skiing this afternoon/early evening on the small portion of man made snow "T" trail. Firmed up with the colder temperatures. Light snow falling what seemed the entire time. Looking forward to more trail opening up. Some brave people off the main trail with skis...rock skies for sure until they get more snow. So far so good though with early season skiing.

Very nice for skate and stride on the manmade snow Y loop. Continuous light snow mixing in with the solid base is providing a great skating surface and good grip in the tracks. Lots of skiers of all ages and abilities are sharing the trail, which is wide enough to accommodate them all. Some skiers are venturing off the manmade loop to other trails which appear to be well covered in snow, but not yet groomed. Rock skis would be recommended off the manmade loop.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The Piston Bully was out again at night. The small amounts of snow we have been getting have helped the trail to improve. The man made loop is filling in and becoming flat. The skate deck was tilled and is in great shape. New classic track was set and is also in great shape. Grooming plans: The snowmaking operations will be firing up again soon so the trail layout may change daily. The snowmaking will be going on during daylight hours as well so please give the snowmakers and the groomers plenty of room to work.

Out at 6 am with headlamp. Beautiful grooming and all good on the manmade loop. Some dirt or gunk from piston bully near Summer Stage on South classic trails. Thank you to groomers. A little joy before work.

Fresh, loose snow surface on a crushed ice base. Nice for skate but a little slow. New tracks made from a mix of fresh snow and tilled Ice. Only the 1200 meter manmade snow loop is groomed and skiable at the moment. Other trails have about two inches of ungroomed snow and ice.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The Piston Bully was out early this morning to groom up what light snow we received at the park. The skate deck was tilled and is in great condition. The classic tracks were reset and are also in great condition. The snow is still dirty in a few areas so use care with your good skis.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Thursday night the park received about 1.5" of wet, heavy snow that was unable to be groomed. Grooming plans: Temperatures will allow for grooming Thursday with the PistenBully. There is currently 700 yards of man-made snow. Snowmaking will take place Sunday through Thursday. Sections of trail may be closed during this time.

Nice skating this morning on an inch or so of fresh clean snow over the man-made loop. It had not been groomed, but it was still nice. Several striders had skied in the tracks that looked nice.

Very nice for skate and stride this morning. Soft, thick layer of corn snow on a firm manmade base. Going up Summerstage Hill is just like the Birkie for late wavers.
