Trail Reports

2023-2024 season
Reports 172 to 177 of 177    Month: Feb | Jan | Dec | Nov

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
I left the trails about 8:20 pm being the last skier on the trail. The man made "T" was great early season skiing. It was a light high moisture snow falling when I started and continued for most of my time. Grass kind of visible off the man made snow. The skate deck was a loose but skiable. The classic tracks look okay but could use a refresh depending on the conditions at night for grooming. I would expect lots of visitors this weekend.

Very nice skiing on the manmade snow. The loop is about 0.9 km, in the form of a T. Skate deck is firm and dense, with a little loose granular snow. Striding tracks are solid, fast, but not icy. Great way to start to the season.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
I had the Pisten Bully out this evening and groomed and reset tracks on the partial man-made loop that we have open. Enjoy the early season skiing. I wish we could offer you more trails to ski on, but I hope we can hold on to what we have open at the moment. Happy skiing!

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
Snow that was made on Monday and Tuesday was spread and groomed today, and ready for skiing. It's a short out-and-back loop. Multiple sets of striding tracks with a skate lane in the middle. A big Thank You to our volunteer snowmakers and groomers!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The SnowMakers DNR, and groomers have been busy all week and we have some of the man-made loop open. You can start skiing by the start shed and go all the way to the top of summer stage if you choose. Tail end is open and then you can ski back north to the bottom of magic carpet. Grooming plans: We will continue to groom nightly as weather permits. Happy skiing!
