Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
I had the Pisten Bully out early this morning and tilled, groomed, and reset tracks on our entire man-made snow trail system. It was a true groomer's pleasure actually grooming mother natures snow. But as every one knows, mother nature was not so kind to our trails earlier in the week with the warm temperatures and rain. Our dedicated snowmakers are making snow again for the sixth time this ski season. There are many thin icy areas on our man-made trail system that the snowmakers are going to try and replenish with man-made snow again this morning. There will be some trail closures, so again please give the snowmakers and groomers room to work. We are hoping that our man-made snow trail system will hold up into March with the added snow this morning. The DNR has rolled all the trails off the man-made trails overnight. Sometime this morning they also plan to be out there grooming and setting tracks. Hopefully all of us will be able to ski off the man-made snow trails soon. Happy skiing!

Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
By 10:30, a bit less than an inch of new snow has accumulated on the icy, rutted base. Snowing pretty good now, and windy out of the NE. Not enough new snow yet to fill in the rutted surface, but maybe later it will be better. Shallow tracks are evident, and filling with new snow, so they might be your best bet.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Seven skiers raced the Lapham Peak Ski League Tuesday Time Trial on the Woods Loop early this afternoon before the rain started. The air temp was 51 so the snow was soft. The wind was gusting to 30mph so debris from trees was on the snow. Easy to avoid the occasional dirty/thin/icy spots. We appreciate the grooming this morning that restored the classic tracks and smoothed the skate lane. Skiing would have been much worse without the grooming. Report is for the Snowmaking Loops. All other Loops remain closed.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The Piston Bully was Monday night grooming the man made snow loops. The skate deck was tilled and is in good condition although some icy spots are starting to show up. The worst of it is at the high point and then the start of magic carpet. The tracks were reset and are in good condition but are getting icy as well. Hopefully we will get some snow as we could really use it.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The Piston Bully was out at night grooming the man made loops. The skate deck was tilled and is in excellent shape. New classic track was set and is in good condition. They are full depth but the bottom is on the hard pack ice layer. As the day gets warmer they will become glazed over.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Last night's grooming resulted in very good ski conditions. Enough loose snow made for controllable skiing over a hard frozen base. It was so enjoyable I skied 19.4 miles in 2:55. Started at 9am with 31 degrees and left at noon at 42 degrees but it was still good. Without the piston bully grooming it would have been too icy to ski. Again thanks to groomer and his report.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Skated manmade loop this morning. Deck is hard, more even than yesterday, with a still thin, but thicker than yesterday, coating of snow. The groomers did a lot of work over night. Thanks! Still some uneven spots. Fast, but manageable conditions. Good skis. The wife says the classic tracks were fast, hard, deep enough, and better today than yesterday.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
I had the Pisten Bully out tonight and tilled, groomed, and reset tracks on our entire man-made snow trail system. Skiing should be much improved after another thaw, rain, and re-freeze. The DNR has obviously stopped grooming off the man made. Happy skiing!

Evening
Firsthand: Both Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Skated manmade snow loops at sunset today. Deck is hard, somewhat uneven, with only a thin layer of tilled snow on top. A little difficult to dig in one's ski edge. Reminded me of skiing across Lake Hayward on a light snow year. When we left, the groomer was out. Good skis. A couple of real icy spots. Downhills manageable. The wife says the classic tracks were fast, hard, and deep enough. Off the manmade loop deck and classic tracks did not look skiable, but I can't give you a first hand report, because I didn't give those trails a try.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Man-made snow loop was better than expected as of early this afternoon, considering recent weather. Nothing close to a bare spot on the manamde loop that I saw. Snow was getting a little soft in a sunny spot or two. Only two noticeable icy spots today which were small, easy to avoid, and easily identifiable from a good distance.
