[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Got there about 9:30 am and the skate deck on the man-made loop was quite used, but the temps weren't too warm yet so the conditions weren't real slow. About an hour or so later, it started slowing down, but still plenty of coverage. I got out on the green loop which is thin in several spots. I recommend B skis, but used my good skis with no damage. The worst part is the top of the climb. Tree debris, but no rocks. Got in 30k on rhe green loop.

Soft and slushy for skate. Solid, icy track for stride. A bit of dirt and debris on the surface in places. Downhills are soft and slow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Mike and I were out with the Pisten Bully early this morning grooming and setting tracks on our entire man-made trail system. We believe skiing is going to be really good this morning before it warms up. Happy skiing!

Soft, slushy layer on a firm base. Good for skate and stride on the snowmaking loops. Tracks are intact. Downhills are generally slow. Plenty of snow but a little debris in spots.

Observation Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
We will not be taking the Piston Bully out tonight to groom the trails. Again it will be too warm overnight to do anything. Grooming plans: Looks like Tuesday night and Wednesday night it should be cold enough to groom. Just a reminder that there will be a high school race at the park on Thursday evening.

Variable conditions overall. I heard earlier this morning the man made loop was firm and faster. Now mid afternoon it's slowed and soft. I did venture off the man made loop, conditions are better than this past weekend where your poles would punch holes to the ground. Some more debris showing in the pine trees on the green loop. Some firmer patches of snow then soft snow after a downhill makes you need to pay attention. Still got my 20 km and I'm hoping to be back out on Thursday after some rest.

Changing conditions for skate and stride on the snowmaking loops. Overnight grooming provided a firm corduroy surface for early skiers, but the sun, warmth, and wind softened and slowed the snow through the day. Great coverage and solid tracks.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The weather conditions finally allowed the Piston Bully to groom the man made loops. The skate deck was tilled and is in great condition. New classic track was set and is in great condition as well. We will be out grooming this week as weather allows. The park will be holding high school sectional championship races on Thursday night so plan your skiing accordingly.

A bit slower than yesterday, but still a good base on the man-made loop. Easy to ski around debris. I used my good skis, but some people might go with B skis. We are blessed to have this facility.

Put in 28k on the 1.5 k fake snow loop. Surprised how well it held up from all the rain and warm temps. Solid base with soft snow on top. A few thin spots up in the pines. Downhill slightly icy in spots but manageable. Did not venture on real snow trails but saw a few folks out there though. Tracks still holding up for striders. Got real busy when I left around noon.
