Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
I had the Pisten Bully out this evening. I groomed, tilled, and set tracks on our entire man-made snow trail system. Our trails continue to ski pretty descent considering the weather we have been dealing with. The snowmakers are planning on firing up the snow guns this week and replenishing the thin spots. There will be some trails closed at times, so again please give the snowmakers and groomers room as some of this work will be happening during the daylight hours. I believe we will be able to pull off our Tuesday and Wednesday night races this week. Happy skiing everybody!

Was going to stay home and watch football but so glad I made the trip out to Lapham today. I was amazed that I had a decent track for striding and that enabled me to get a good ski in today. Magic Carpet was very quick. Thanks so much for the great groomers here who go to so much work so we can ski after all the rain and warm temps! I know Beatle was up in Hayward late this week so I know he made great effort to groom for the weekend!

Man made snow loop in good shape, groomed up nice. They churned up the icy trail into a very skiable deck. Was a bit crusty in the morning, but softened up with more ski traffic through the day. Very happy Lapham makes snow, not much else within a hundred miles. Great job to the groomers.

Awesome conditions snow-making loop. The groomers were able to refine the trail and produce some sugar snow. Great for technique and intervals on snow making loop. Probably would be ok with using good skis when the trail is freshly groomed. Cool club and good vibes!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
I had the Pisten Bully out this evening and tilled, groomed, and reset tracks on our entire man-made snow trail system. I also groomed Mark's Park and Beattle's Loop. All I can say about our trails here at Lapham is wow! We have just gone through our 4th thaw, rain, warm up, and refreeze cycle since we opened our trails in December. All that being said, the trails are still skiable but please don't expect what the Birkie trails have to offer.

Not too shabby! Jay with the DNR did a bunch of laps with the track gator and ginsu around 10, and made it very skiable! Thanks Jay!

Fair conditions for skate on the manmade snow loops. Full coverage, some icy spots, lots of dirt and small debris. Tracks are mostly gone. Groomed by a couple of passes with the Ginzu. Soft and getting slow.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Drove over from Madison this morning for great classic skiing on the man-made snow loop. Sugar snow, but the tracks were good and skin skis had kick and glide. It was just starting to soften as we were leaving at 11:00 AM. The parking lot was full, lots of skiers very grateful for the opportunity to ski here this weekend.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Andrew and I were out again tonight grooming the man-made snow trail system. We tilled, groomed, and set tracks on the entire man-made snow trail system. We also groomed up Marks Park and Beatles loop. Due to the weather and our frozen block of ice that we kindly call our ski trail, and after thousands of laps every day by all of us skiers, our trails continue to turn into sugar snow. I hope everybody takes a look around the landscape while skiing and is thankful that we are actually skiing in Southeast Wisconsin. That being said, we had a great turnout today for the Lapham Loppet. There were many, many smiling faces out here today. Happy trails!

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Andrew and I were out late last night and early this morning with the Pisten Bully. We tilled, groomed, and set tracks on the entire man-made snow trail system. I believe skiing should be pretty good today. The middle school, high school, and citizen racers will be racing the Lapham Loppet today. There will also be a family fun ski day taking place after the races. Come on out and enjoy!
