Night temperatures were sufficiently low after a warmer day to really solidify the full-depth tracks throughout the system. Now the tracks are firm, not at all icy. You will have good kick and glide as long as you don't totally miss the wax. The system has not seen too much use yet, either, although herringbone obliterated tracks on short steep uphills. Minor. Very little leaf fall and downhills are still extremely forgiving with the new snow.

Groomed and tracked. Snow is sticky but has covered all debris and bare spots. Skied outer loop, classic tracks are set.

Tracks are starting to get a bit beaten up, but coverage is good except for a few thin spots here and there.

Trails in good condition after the snow. A couple areas with thin layer of snow, but not an issue or damaging to skis.

Conditions are moderate. Not icy, but a bit of debris, several notably thin spots with grass and maybe rocks, and the classic tracks are a bit washed out. B skis or rock skis recommended, and you may need to step out of tracks a bit. Was decent enough that we did both loops twice.

Glad I left the skins in the car - my classic skis with Multigrade Violet worked great at the crack of dawn in the tracks that were mostly still untransformed snow. And I could capitalize on the snow was surprisingly fast, nice double poling. Yes, the track was not terrible rigid, but that just meant much more forgiving cornering due to the snow softness. Some bare spots to avoid, not very many oak leaves yet.

Hartley was fabulous! Before new snow, there was a very hard icy ~0.25-0.5" base, and now there is I would estimate 98% coverage. Tracks were in great shape, but suffering with a couple areas of washouts due to trail usage. I was pleasantly surprised that the tracks were firmer than I had expected, though still on the soft side. There are some thin spots under the pines where grass or the icy base comes through. A couple areas where people had walked on the trail, but they mostly stayed out of the tracks. Thank you city groomers!

No grooming but tracks have been created by skiers. All the trails had good coverage with a solid layer of ice underneath it all but the tracks are thin once the snow was compacted. B skis for almost all the of trail except for the few thin spots under the trees where roots/grass/ice were showing through.
