"It ain't much but it's all we've got." The Staghorn trail can be skied without too much concern. Once you head out into the open prairie the base is almost gone and won't last. There might be as much as 2" base in some places. The wider, flatter parts of Staghorn are OK but the narrow sections are rutted with groomer tracks. You can ski here but it's not much fun.

A couple guys from our grooming crew rolled the trails yesterday. I skated them this morning. Things are pretty rough but as another local skier noted: "beggars can't be choosers". You can skate them but they are uneven with some debris. The good news is that the snow that is there has firmed up nicely and might respond to some actual grooming from the Ginzu.
