Just a winter wonderland ski today. We classic skied. Great coverage. No track set but very skiable!

Winter wonderland in Baraboo! Another 1-2 inches of fluffy stuff on top of the couple that the park got yesterday. The trail system hasn't been re-groomed in a few days, but given how light the snow is on top, paired with a solid base it was faster than expected. Wide lane for skate (no classic tracks set), and very quiet on the trails, with snow covering the trees in all directions. I say B skis, but you could use good skis and easily avoid the very few branch pieces or pine cones.

Lots of snow up in the Dells. Mirror Lake received another 1 or 2" today while Madison got sleet. Skied in a beautiful snow storm around noon. Hastings and Ferndale are great. Haven't been groomed for a couple of days but, plenty of coverage. No tracks. Turtleville is pretty beat up from walkers and thick snow. Only 3 trails groomed: Hastings, Ferndale and Turtleville. B or good skis. It may not last too long so Get after it!

Absolutely excellent skiing given the amount of snow so far. They've gotten probably 6-7" and have done a great job of grooming. A bit soft on the edges, no tracks set, with the skied in portions largely clean and leaf/stick free. The base overall is pretty firm. Very surprisingly not many people here!

No classic tracks but folks have "evoed" a trail where there is no grooming. Skating was fabulous on the groomed trails, Hastings, Fern Dell and Turtleville with some short sections seemingly perfect and debris, soft spots and a few bumps in other sections, Perhaps skiers have forgotten about how lovely Mirror Lake is, as the parking lot was nearly empty and ranger said traffic was intermittent.

More than adequate snow, but skiing was a chore as the trails hadn't been fully groomed yet. Only the RH side had been rolled once, though they were continuing to groom. Very soft base due to the fluffiness of the recent snow. Some sticks on the trail, but not bad. The ranger said they don't expect to set tracks as there is not enough of a base to do that. Beautiful day to get out into the woods though!
