Trail Reports

2023-2024 season
Reports 1 to 5 of 5    Month: Feb | Jan
Monday, February 26, 2024
Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Still some good skiing to be had. The base is pretty thin, but several trails were regroomed today with the PistenBully and tracks were reset where possible. On the trails that are open, skate skiing is good to very good in most sections with a few very small bare patches and some icy areas that are well marked. Tracks are decent, but shallow and icy in spots. Great grooming, and nothing to complain about, all things considered.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Skate lanes of all opened trails were touched up this morning as well as a few classic tracks reset. We still have fair coverage on most of the trails with a few patches of ice and a few rocks starting to show.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Good conditions. Most trails were groomed for skate this morning, and tracks were reset on the core trails (Sun-up, Sundown, Northern Lights, and Stadium). Trails received a couple inches of fresh snow yesterday and as of 1pm today there was about another inch of fresh snow over groomed surfaces. A few icy patches, but no bare ground showing anywhere.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Enjoyable couple days at Kamview. Trail was thin but no dirt showing. Classic track was solid and set firm. Skate deck had enough to edge. Fun trail system. Friendly people. Nice to ski.

Evening
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Trail conditions this evening remain good to excellent for both skate and classic. Overcast and below freezing with a little light snow throughout the day. Skate lanes on the lighted loop were firm and fast and there is very little glazing in the tracks. Good coverage and no worries skiing some of the upper loops (Beaver/Meadows/Aspen) with a headlamp. Limited grooming expected for the next couple days.
