Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Fresh off grooming Isles. Cannot go through the lagoon, open water, so BMS will not be groomed anymore this year. Two passes on walking/fatbike trail and three passes on skate/classic. Classic tracks are going to set up quite nice with more snow this weekend.

Icy but groomed for classic. Skate deck looked rough. Walkers have walked over much of tracks. Think double-pole technique and that the end of season (for Chain of Lakes) coming to close soon...

Bde Mka Ska rolled, groomed, tracked and corduroy. Beautiful day but I made the error of skiing with my BC Madshus M62 setup. Bring your spandex and skinny race skis!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed Isles and Bde Maka Ska this morning. The tracks looked pretty good, but don't know how long before they get icy. Beware: There is about a foot of standing water under the bridge between the two lakes! You will need to take your skis off and take the walking path a short distance to get around. Probably done with grooming on BMS because of this area.

Skied the bog, Eloise and Brownie and the trails are in amazing shape! Big time warning...the ice under the bridge from brownie to cedar has broken through and I just about went in. It would be a good way to end your ski season so I would avoid that section!

Skijored Lake of the Isles. Surprisingly good conditions. Some rutting/frozen footprints but I didn't find any icy spots where I couldn't get an edge while on the main body of the lake.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I made three passes on Isles and two on BMS. Classic tracks are shallow to icy. I did my best. Lowered teeth when I could to scrape the footprints off.

Skated Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles late morning. Double classic tracks were pristine. Nice corduroy on Bde Maka Ska but the skate deck was still soft and in places people had walked on it. Isles was somewhat firmer. The best skating was on the Lagoon between. Very icy under the bridges. Lots of people out enjoying skiing and snowshoeing!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Bde Maka Ska is now groomed, with two classic tracks. The skate deck is still a bit soft and rutted, but very skiable and should improve with subsequent grooming passes. Isles was groomed yesterday. A few spots on the Isles classic tracks were filled with windblown snow yesterday afternoon, but still good overall. Many happy skiers out on this beautiful day!
