Challenging two way loops in the Kettle Moraine region in a 145 acre nature conservancy. Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation (CLCF) owns the land and allows for the cross-country ski trails in the winter. CLCF Nordic is entirely maintained by memberships and volunteers. Kudos to Jerry for extending the good skiing through the weekend. Conditions were best in the am while the air temps were still hovering around freezing. Couple of bare spots you could step around and a few icy spots. Conditions felt like late March, Hopefully more snow is on the way.

Trail wizard Jerry made corduroy out of what seems to be nothing. Very skiable. Rare bare patches. I skied with good skis no problem but only because I forgot my B skis. Back woods are slick and not groomed this morning but skiable...if you like fast ice.

Firm and fast with decent control after exquisite grooming this morning. Fields were in great shape with minor thinning on hills, but overall coverage was very good. Conditions will be transitioning and groomer indicates will be out again tomorrow morning. Great day to be out at CLCF!

I classic skied the upper blue trail several times today and set a nice track with my skis on most of the trail for those that might wish to classic ski Saturday morning. About 99% of the trail had plenty of snow. I had a wonderful day.

Conditions look to be very good for skate, a few icy spots, but good base and good coverage. Not enough snow to re-set classic tracks.

Firm and fast conditions with good control. Some rare thin spots on hills but overall very good. Grooming was excellent as usual. Did not ski the woods. Hoping for the best with coming weather.

I skated Wednesday afternoon, and the trails were in very good shape. I only skied the first loop of the Western Woods, however.

Remarkably good considering limited snow. As usual grooming was exceptional. Upper fields were in great shape but lower fields were thinning with repeated passes. Did not ski the woods.

Groomed this morning. The trails in the fields are in good condition (good skis). The woods are thin (rock skis). Too thin to set tracks.
