Very spring like conditions at Pincushion. The tracks were shallow in places but overall fast. Skate deck was soft. There was some pine needle debris but it wasn't nearly as bad as oak leaves! I skied the green loops. Picture of the tracks and view of Lake Superior.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails are still open after a couple of days of warm temps. A few bare spots are starting to show, but it's almost not worth noting. The snow was slow as temps warmed up, turning to a consistency similar to mashed potatoes. Still undoubtedly worth getting out there and putting some miles in.

Ole Hyyva, Hilfiger, and North Advanced were groomed and barely touched when I was out. The deck was rather hard and I saw some twig debris to dodge from recent winds.

Plenty of snow and great grooming offers great skiing right now. Firm and clean tracks offered a good glide despite the cold temperatures there have been here. The skating lanes were touched up again today.

Great conditions at Pincushion. Skied all the trails and the tracks were well set and firm. Double poling was a bit of a struggle due to soft pole plants but it worked. Snow is cold but it made the hill climbing easier!

Skate deck was a bit soft and my skis sank occasionally, but otherwise trails were in amazing shape.
