Today I skied the Golden Eagle Loop on the Wagoner Trail. Trail conditions are good. The exception is where a vehicle came off the road /snow machine trail and messed up the packing and grooming. Fortunately the damage wasn't extensive throughout the system. Very windy today, but most of what was to come down in the form of branches and debris was already down from the day before.

The trails have a good base. Fortunately some people broke the trail ahead of me after the last snowstorm but that was fine with good kick and glide.

A beautiful evening and night ski on groomed, firm trails covered with 2 inches of fluffy dry powder snow. These trails are an easily accessible old pine forest gem on 135 just south of Tower. A beginner loop from the parking lot is lighted until 10 pm. We used headlamps and skiied one and half hours throughout the rest of the loops.

Great conditions. It was cold since the last grooming and the base is perfect. We got a couple inches of fresh snow in the set tracks. People have been out enjoying the beautiful forest.

Trails were just groomed after receiving 3 inches of new snow the other day. They look great!

Great skiing today. Decent tracks were set and other people broke trail today from the fresh snow yesterday. The kick was so good I only had to herringbone twice. Although that meant my waxless ski glide wasn't the greatest but didn't need as much (Need for Speed in my declining years). Considering the high winds there was not much debris on the trails.

The trails are groomed and single tracked. They look good although "the pines" area could use a little more snow. Let's get out and hit the trails, it's supposed to be a nice weekend.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
We were able to pack all of the trails yesterday. There are 3-4 inches of snow on the trails. Cold weather should set up a decent base, hoping for more snow so that we can set tracks soon.
