Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Good afternoon, I would say to stay off of the advanced loop here, but it's just not groomed or track set for this loop. All the rest of the loops are groomed wide and track set well with deep tracks for the most part. Be careful on the downhills like always and have fun. The weather was beautiful for a ski this afternoon.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Skied everything except the crossovers and Aspen. Several inches of snow have fallen since the last grooming, but there are recent skied-in tracks almost everywhere. Tough to get a great kick-glide going in most places, though, because the tracks don't have solid sides to them. Even so, the tracks on the longest downhill (it's on the south loop) were too alluring for me, and just as I thought I was in the clear coming down, a ski didn't hold the track and...( see photo). It was like trying to stay atop two skinny rails. On the bigger downhills after that, I descended to the side of the existing tracks, snow billowing up to my knees.
