Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All ]
As the lodge attendant today, I got some feedback from skiers: The mid-40's on Thursday followed by consistent below freezing has resulted in hard skate surfaces and icy tracks. There is also quite a bit of pine needle and oak leaf debris poking up, as well as occasional grassy/dirt areas. The consensus was skiing on loops A&B was OK, but the hillier loops were problematic. Bring your snowshoes if you aren't sure you want to deal with icy conditions.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Trails A and F have been cleared of fallen trees, rolled and groomed for skate and classic. Tracks should set-up nicely with falling temps. We have received more than 12" on the season and have a base of 4" plus so use your good skis. Groomers are working on the other trails. Beware of branches that continue to fall with heavy snow load. Several came down while we were grooming. Parking lot has not been plowed but is usable with 4WD.
