[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails A, C, D, E, and F have hard surface ground with screeded skate lanes and shallow tracks ready for morning skiing. Other trails should soften early afternoon with fast skate lanes and icy tracks. Lodge open 10-4 Saturday and Sunday.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Conditions continue to be excellent at the school forest. While the skating deck was groomed more recently, the classic tracks still had adequate depth. Glide was terrific on this 25 degree morning. Hills were very fast, and there wasn't a lot of snowplowing snow to control speed. There is a minor scattering of oak leaves in the tracks, with the C trail having the most significant debris.

Finally got out to deal with the 3" of new snow we received last week. Skate lanes groomed up nicely. Classic tracks were reset as needed. The cold temps set things up very nicely. Trails are in beautiful condition. Put on an extra layer and enjoy the great conditions.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are in excellent condition with solid classic track, skating deck, and pole plants. The only exception is the Ridge trail (H), which is rolled and packed, but no track set. All ice and debris has been buried under the big snowfall. Come out and enjoy a perfect January ski--lodge is open Sunday afternoon.

Saturday the trails were icy, fast, and in good shape. Today the sun is already making things a little slower. Trails were still fantastic this morning.

Skated all trails except the ridge. Good skiable snow throughout. Lots of debris to work around, but manageable. Great day out!
