Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Passed many happy skiers today taking advantage of the single track grooming on the Doan Lake Trails. Deep snow available for trail breaking on the route to Joyce Estate. Started out with blue kick wax in the mix of sun and shade. Skins or scales becoming a better option by noon.

Grooming

Rolled Doan Lake Trails this morning. Good coverage with 6-8" light fluffy snow. Grooming plans: I'll set tracks after snow slows down this afternoon. Trout Lake Trails not groomed.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Rolled and feathered all Trout Lake and Doan Lake trails. Base is thin and soft. No tracks set. Doan Lake trails are ok to ski with pretty good coverage. Trout trail south of Spring Creek is also ok but you might hit some gravel on the hills. Spur to North Trailhead not as good. Last hill before Joyce Estate is not skiable.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
4" light fluffy snow. Rolled all Trout Lake and Doan Lake trails. Soft and thin but should set up nicely. No tracks set. Grooming note: Leaving the roller ridges helps more snow collect on the trail. Ok for rock skis if you're in the "I'll ski on anything" crowd.
