Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied for over three hours today, hit most of the classic trails. Conditions were excellent on most trails, but a few sections of trail hadn't been groomed since the previous night's snowfall so there was fresh snow that had been skied on by the time I hit the trails. There were some small connecting trails that had't been groomed for even longer, I suspect, as the classic tracks had several inches of fluffy snow around them. But this was the best natural snow I've skied on all year, a really fun day.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are very good to excellent today. Tracks were reset system wide, and with all the hard work from the grooming team, the trails will be firm and fast, but not icy. Conditions should continue to firm up. With the freeze/thaw cycle last night, and not enough depth to use our power tiller, the team had to get a little more creative. We used the leveling drag to recondition and "tear up" the snow and then followed grooming the skate lane and setting new classic tracks. Result was excellent skiing and full trail system of happy skiers all day long.

Skied both the 10k and 7k loop at WinMan today. First time there. Trail conditions were excellent with very good tracks for classic skiers like me. A very pleasant outing.

WinMan was in excellent condition today. The sun broke through as we started and with well formed tracks we were off and running/gliding. Another wonderful choice in the area.

Good coverage, a couple inches of powder on top the recent grooming. Was still snowing when we left at 3pm. A couple hill climbs had just a bit of dirt/debris, but overall very nice.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are in excellent condition right now. We had about 4" in total of new snow. Lake effect from early yesterday was compressed throughout the day then we got nearly an inch of good quality snow in the evening. All the trails were groomed this morning and completed right around 8:30am. Result is "white" everywhere for the first time this year. No areas of thin skate deck or debris on the classic tracks.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Fresh snow falling throughout the day over grooming. My first couple of loops were on a couple inches of fresh over the morning's grooming. Then the groomer came out and re-groomed the skate deck on the shorter loops, which I did next. Then, I finished up on the 4-5 km loops, which had not been regroomed. Slower conditions with cooler temps and fresh snow, but beautiful and fun.

Conditions were great. 2 or 3 inches of fresh fluffy snow made a nice improvement. Groomers were out laying fresh cord for the skaters and setting full depth track for striders. No concerns with anything, bring your best skis.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Full system was groomed late Friday night, allowing it to set-up really well for Saturday adventures. Skate deck is very good to excellent everywhere. Tracks are good with a few thin and shallow spots in places but nothing significant.

I classic skied the red 10k loop including the out and back section. This was my first time on the new red connector section coming off the old out and back. Conditions were very good to excellent. The tracks were firm and deep enough and glide was very good. I used my scales because of the warmer temperature. Nice job grooming! I skied a total of 15k.
