Very good conditions after the inch or two of snow from last night was groomed in. Thanks to a mid-day groom, tracks were firm, and fast with no drifted snow. Skate lane appeared quite a bit slower, but was very firm the few times I stepped out of the track. Temps were in the single digits below zero.

Subzero temps made for great grip but not much glide. Beautiful bluebird day with perfect grooming. Only saw a few other folks, who were snowshoeing on the snowshoe trails.

Very good condition. Form skate lane, solid looking tracks. Trails are getting more level now with each snowfall, and are close to mid winter condition.

Great day skiing with visiting friends at Miners. Lots of fresh snow falling over the morning groom. Great full-depth tracks. Use your good skis if you pay attention for the one thin area coming out of the G shaft loop. Winter Wonderland with friends... that's what skiing is about.

A few fresh inches overnight into the morning made a big difference in Ironwood. I'd only skied Miner's as part of the Sisu, so it was nice to see the whole park. The groomer was Johnny on it, and had fresh corduroy and tracks laid before we got there. The corduroy was soft and needed time to set, but the tracks were very nice. There were only a couple thin spots, but I felt fine with good skis.

Always happy to ski a new trail. The grooming was good and 90% of the track was in very good condition. It wasn't too hard to get around what debris was out there. I really enjoyed reading the signs and learning about the mining history.

Conditions continue to improve with regular grooming and light snowfall. Trails are firm, and flat with a wide skate lane and good classic tracks throughout. There are some very small spots of debris or dirt that are easy to ski around. I used good skis without much worry. If you are in the area, check these trails out!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Miners groomed up well this morning. We re-set tracks. They are full depth on much of the Pabst Loop, shallow on Aurora. There are places where we pulled up dirt on the Aurora Loop. So that is the reason for the rock ski rating. B skis could readily be used on Pabst and G shaft.

Fresh tracks (and deck) at Miners. Sparkling snow. Almost good skis but probably safer with Bs. Everything groomed including Curry Trail into downtown.

Skated Miners after work this evening. The small amount of fresh snow from today on top of the weekend's grooming skied well. There are some thin spots and a few small rocky spots that can be avoided if careful. I saw a few other skiers out there too and everyone said for how much snow we have they were happy with it.
