Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Today we ran both Ginzus with teeth down as far as possible to make the best skate lane we could. We covered the Green twice, got the Orange, west end of main Blue, Blue Return, Yellow, and Red. In many places the trail looks just fine.

I skied the blue shelter loop. Snow was soft and mushy as expected at 37F. The rain has not melted everything to bare ground yet. Some spots have good snow cover, some places a few rocks are showing. Even before warm up, blue had small brush and swamp reed grass sticking up. Pictures all blue loop. The orange loop part had a descent track and was much more packed.

Temps around 23F early afternoon, sunny and slightly breezy. Had a tough time with the kick wax. The snow seemed abrasive. I skied the entire perimeter— blue trail, orange, yellow, red. Except for the blue return, which intersects with the orange trail, the blue trail is very rough, lots of cattails, etc., to ski through. The classic track is shallow and uneven. Not worth skiing again until more snow falls. In comparison the green, orange, yellow and red are still nice. The tracks are decent, variably solid and even / uneven. The groomers and trail stewards are doing a good job.

About 18F. Partly sunny into late afternoon dusk. The trails are in great shape for how little snow there is. Skiing on all natural snow is so great! There are places where the bedrock is poking through or cedar cones are covering the trail for a bit. All the ground irregularities are still there because the snow hasn't filled them in... but with all that the grooming is great and the trails are beautiful. I used my best skis because that's what I have with me. The classic track, shallow in places, is pretty solid and level. I love this trail system so much!

-1° at 9:15 a.m. start, no wind. Last 1" of fluff was skied in, but track is firm and well set. It was quite fast today and special green wax gave good kick. It was a fun ski! Pictures are Green Bog Trail, Orange, Yellow and 2 Reds. Blue trail is only part packed.

I skied the yellow, orange and red loops. The groomers did a good job rolling and setting a single track. Temp was 32° but snow was not wet or iced, so I was able to get a good glide and kick with layered wax, red on top. Good snow cover. Only reason of B rating, because of sporadic small rocks, just due to irregular, bumpy terrain.

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We packed 8" of new snow on Wednesday, rolled on Thursday, groomed with Ginzus on Friday. I skated with good skis yesterday and today found the snow quite hard, but fine for good skis. The track is ok given the very hard pack we worked with. We got the Green, Orange, Blue Return, and Red with Ginzus but did not groom the mud holes on the Orange and Red trails. The main Blue is yet untouched.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Several inches of snow fell yesterday and that which was not blown to Wisconsin we rolled today. Finally got the Green trail packed and then rolled. It's ok to ski - there are a couple of wet spots, and the bottom of the first hill is covered with grass. The Orange and Yellow are fine. The Blue Return has been rolled several times but the cover is a bit thin. It's ok but be watchful.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
I rolled the Bogwalk, Orange, and Yellow trails yesterday. Skated them today. Skiing is fine for what we have - expect thin snow, exposed rocks, and areas of recent trail work. But it is skiing! It counts!
