A bit slow and soft but much better than I anticipated! No grooming has been done since the last wet snowfall but that makes sense as any heavy machinery would certainly have just carved a trench. The skate lane has held up, and if you stick to the sections that have been heavily skied-in the past couple weeks it is acceptably firm. No doubt it's slow though... instead of 4 minutes per kilometer for us it was more like 6 1/2 minutes. We skied 13K and it was well worth the effort.

Classic skiing was excellent - maybe not the fastest glide but great kick with skin skis and fun to ski in fresh snow and mild temps. Skated for bit before that but the snow was wet and slow.

Toughed out 2 hours through 2 inches of wet snow. Poles were sticking a bit, so I focused on hill repeats up the east loop of sledding hill. Still good coverage, classical tracks looked good. Previous grooming efforts helped make it doable, thank you Paul and crew.

Very impressed with these trails! Wonderful conditions. Lots of people out skating and striding. Even with the trailhead being packed, the many loops allow you to feel like you're out there alone.

Immaculate conditions! Felt fast even with the cold temps. I skated but noted the tracks are also excellent for classic. Thanks groomers!

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All the trails were re-groomed with fresh classic tracks set early this morning, excellent conditions / good skis. We had less than an 1" of snow last night, some small drifting, no snow moving around when grooming so I do expect the classic tracks to hold up and not fill in. Enjoy before the warm up.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails had tracks around the outer edge/loops, all of which were in good condition outside of what looked to be a hiker who trampled over one small section near the trailhead. Few areas were a bit soft where I felt my pole drop way down. Outside of that, good skiing.

Was groomed this morning and classic tracks were reset. Skate deck is flat and firm. About as good as it gets! Classic tracks looked really great too.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All the trails have been re-groomed this morning, the classic tracks are reset. With minimal wind today they should all stay open. The skate lane is fresh, wide and firm, look for more speed today with the sun and warmer temps. Good skis, all day long. Best conditions....
