Great conditions everywhere on a perfect sunny afternoon. Man made snow loop is hard packed and medium-fast. Hyland lake trail is hard packed and a little uneven at places but absolutely beautiful, and the trail to the Nature Center is a tad soft. Solid classic tracks set everywhere.

Skated the parts of the manmade snow loops and the Lake and Hill trails. Gorgeous trails with the ample snow, and snow everywhere in the trees. The skate deck was much much firmer than I was expecting, maybe even bordering on a tiny bit icy in places, but great condition overall. Trails don't get better than this.

Utterly gorgeous conditions. I skied every trail, and the classical track-set is about as perfect as can be. Even on the downhills the tracks were intact all the way -- it doesn't get much better than this!

I skied Hill, Oak Knob, North, Nature Center. Trails were great although there was a little debris at the start of Oak Knob and some animal scat in the tracks (easily avoidable) on the North trails section heading toward the Scenic foothills. Great day for skiing and a great job by the groomers.

Did classic on Lake and Hill trails. Very nicely groomed and tracked. Some might say the downhills were slow.

Very snowy. Very pretty. Probably 2-3" of new snow on top of last night's grooming. Did the main trail. Tried the north trail but the snow was too deep.

I was out at 8 am and beat the storm for a nice 13k on my classic skins. Fabulous as usual on manmade snow and the natural trail to Richardson had slightly shallow tracks.

Natural trails powder excellent for touring or OT Nordic ski. Classic trails partially hidden. Downhills very manageable with powder to plow into.

10 AM. Skied manmade loops. Wintry mix: freezing rain-sleet-little ice needles-then heavy snow. Tracks are filled in with fresh snow. Very few skiers out. A perfect opportunity to appreciate the beauty and solitude of a Minnesota winter day.

Snow was a little light and fluffy in parts (especially on the upslopes) but generally the trails were in great condition. Skied the Star Loop, Lake Trail, and Oak Knob. Saw a Barred Owl on the Lake Loop. Would love to make it back down to Hyland to check out more of the trails after more snow!
