First time skiing at Lake Elmo. A beautiful trail system through woods, lakes and prairies. Flat to moderately rolling hills. Skied all the trails, they were in good condition. Lots of people out skiing, including MYSL skiers, yet it never seemed crowded. With the sun, new snow and no wind, it was a gorgeous day to be out for a ski.

I skied most of the loops and the snow and grooming conditions are outstanding. Skate deck is good, and the classic tracks looked superb and free from debris. The best conditions I've seen in some time. I skied at about noon, and the trails were pretty quiet, but activity was increasing when I left. I'm going back tomorrow for some night laps.

Skied this morning and found tracks to be great where they existed but really confused at the groomers choices for where they didn't lay them (wasn't always tracks on uphills).

My first time out at Lake Elmo Park Reserve was top notch! The lady friend and I skied around the Prairie loop twice. Tracks were well set. Gentle hills were kind to this novice skier. Lovely scenery all around. We are classic folk but observed a very fine looking skate deck. Thank you, groomers of Washington County!

The tracks ranged from excellent, to only a single track, to none at all, to "what the heck" and then to user made tracks. So, you have to do your best with what there is. But, it's still very worth going to the park. At night, under the lights, was stunningly beautiful.

The Lake Elmo trails are in excellent condition this morning, fast and a bit hard, but with no debris or other damage to the trails. The Red semi-loop has not been packed or groomed recently, but is easily traveled on skier-made tracks. All other trails or segments have been recently groomed, either this morning or last evening.

Classic skied using skintec skis all the trails except the area near the swim pond. Tracks were good in some sections and non-existent in many. I wasn't able to figure out why the groomer could track some areas and not others. Hopeful new tracks will be set in the next couple of days with the cooler temps. Skate deck looked great. Even without consistent tracks, it was a beautiful day to ski.

Classic track is in great shape and firming up nicely. I hope on the next pass we can get tracks back on corners, uphills and downhills!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The groomers got an early start this morning and the East Side trails have been packed and tracked. A little soft but things should set up nicely as the temperatures drop. The West side trails have also been packed. Overall everything is in good condition.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The fresh snow has significantly helped the trails with coverage. The damage on the loop around the swim pond from the rescue that occurred the other day has been fixed and all the trails were packed/rolled just this morning on the East side. Grooming plans: They are currently out packing the West and will do another pass on the East to keep things maintained with the continued snowfall. Tracks will not be set until it is done snowing.
