[ Trails Open: All ]
Called park office at 8AM this morning. They said grooming staff have been busy plowing roads and have not had time to groom. They hope to groom on Monday.

Open but not skatable. Plenty of snow but no grooming. Classic should work, as skiers have etched in a set of tracks.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Really disappointed that the trails had not been packed 20 hours after most of the snow had stopped, particularly after I just purchased my season pass. Some tracked vehicle had been out on Savanna but seemed like it just drove around without packing. As a result of the lack of grooming, it was a struggle to skate at all. I could only manage a 2.8 mph pace over 1.7 miles. I used FastWax yellow LF. Hopefully, things will be groomed by tomorrow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
No grooming, though there are equipment tracks on some of the trails. It was a beautiful ski in user made tracks with gorgeously flocked trees. There was plenty of snow almost everywhere. I only suggest B skis for a couple of places where the equipment tracks stirred something up or left shallow coverage.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
No grooming today, but skier-made tracks were ok for classical. (40 years ago we would have said they were very good.) Skating looked tough -- several inches of soft new snow. But high school skaters were out, and they might pack down the snow. Snow is good and plentiful.

A magical ski if you're skiing classic! It wasn't groomed for anything but I skied in someone else's tracks and it was very nice.

Not groomed for skate or classic skiing. Skating was not an option. Some slushy spots in low areas.

Beautiful skiing on the ungroomed trail. Snow was fluff with a heavy moist base, that didn't affect my waxless classic skis.

Reasonable coverage in most areas. Top of the "Barn Climb" was totally burned off. Practice area is very good. The rest of the place is "skied out", heavily packed by lots of skiers. Very firm, butt temps in the upper 20's made it skiable. HS skiers were arriving as I left. Lots of debris. The best areas are on the non-lighted trails. The loop up by the gun range had the best snow. Used B skis and was on constant alert and in lane change mode.

[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The 1/2" of snow we got Friday night really helped. Skied east side trails only. 90% of the trails are good, In the more open areas, it is a hard pack, but in the wooded and protected sections the new snow covered up some of the leaves. There is one spot where you really need to walk around and that is the top of the Barn Hill, all other thinner areas can be skied around. There are no classic tracks as the base is still very thin.
