Walked the ski trails tonight, a mix of frozen dirt, ice, and a little snow. Ok for hiking but not much else.

Trails aren't officially open (skier-groomed), but they are skiable! We did the Hiking Club loop and while there were some thin spots, we had an enjoyable ski - and even enjoyed a few nice downhill glides. If you're itching to get out, the snow is there!

Not groomed for good reason. A few have braved the trails with their skis. I thought I'd try to skate, but realized my mistake and ended up just double poling. Despite a snowy scene, rocks and gravel are regulars. Trails are still open for hikers and dogs. Several places where the little snow was down to the ground.
