Pretty good early season conditions at the hamster wheel! Snow was fair, mostly manmade. Reminder to have patience with the wide range of skilled skiers packed into such a small loop.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Pretty good rock skiing conditions on the Skyline Trail (Front 9 golf course). Not officially groomed, but plenty of skier tracks have made for a nice surface for skate skiing. Rock ski condition for sure, but quite good skiing for Nov. 19!

Starting at noon after the Turkey Traverse on Saturday (today!), we will have around 400 meters of snowmaking ski trail open. This will start near the Trailhead building. Reminder that a ski pass is required to ski on any Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board Ski Trails. Ski trail is open and lights are on 6am-10pm.

Observation
[ Trails: Closed ]
We moose-hoofed around Wirth this afternoon. The ground still hadn't frozen but plenty of ski tracks crisscross the golf course. The MTB trails also had signs of traffic, but muddy. Happy to see snowguns blazing after dinner at the Trailhead. My car doors were frozen shut.
