Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Beautiful snowfall and classic tracks with fresh snow made for great kick and glide. Lots of people enjoying Elm creek park with skiing and snow boarding. Trails were active, but not crowded. Some traffic on natural snow trails, but trails were not groomed.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The natural snow trails were good. Loose snow and just enough to cover the trail and bridges. Still some ice crusted snow on the sides of Lake and Creek Trail but Northern Lights was pretty good. My adult son did his first freestyle skiing ever and the conditions were great. He only fell a couple times in 12K of skiing. Way to go Elm Creek.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I skied the whole man-made loop. The snow was hard packed and icy in spots. These conditions made it hard to grip the snow at times. It was very windy and cold. They were out grooming Northern lights but there isn't quite enough snow out there to ski it.

Windy, hard-pack granular conditions. Skating was fine, classic looked icy but people were doing it. Windy.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Skied the man made loop. Races in the morning, but cleared out by 10:30am. Tracks were a little icy, but we got adequate kick with waxless and skin tech skis. Making snow in the tubing area.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The whole man-made loop is still open, but after yesterdays warmth and then the freeze today the trails are very icy. It was very hard to get any grip on the skate deck. The tracks were very icy and fast. You could double pole from the chalet past ski school, and almost all the way to the Bottineau house. I also didn't do the doughnut due to icy conditions. At 9am there were about 10 other skiers out and some decided it wasn't worth skiing.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The whole man-made snow loop is open. There were spots that were icy and spots were their was nice snow. I don't know the condition of the doughnut. The skating was difficult as an in experienced skier. The snow was not slushy despite warm temps. There was one team and a few families out about 12 when we were there.

Yeah! The South Donut is open. A bit soft and wet (felt like I was skiing on suction cups) but both skate deck and classical tracks in good shape. Thank you groomers.

Man-made loop was in great shape. Tracks were firm. I thought the warmer temps and a little sugar snow would be a good day to get the skin skis out. Ultimately kicked okay, but not great. They were moving snow on the last portion of the man-made loop. Would expect that to be open soon!

The skate deck and classic tracks were in excellent shape this morning. The South Donut is still not open although the big piles of snow have been knocked down and spread out some.
