This is a great community race with scenic trails. Held at William O'Brien State Park. Once around park for 12km and twice around for 25km. There's also great kids races with age appropriate distances starting at 1:45PM! Again this year is a 8km wooden ski tour that starts with the classic race.

Cancelled due to poor snow conditions. Held on the Balsam Branch trails -- great rolling course with a long, gradual downhill cruise to the finish. There's a 2K kids race earlier in the morning.

Ishpeming, MI
A point to point race, running from Ishpeming to Marquette. Multiple wave starts. Freestyle starts 40 minutes after classical. Last half of the race is almost all downhill. Finishes at Marquette's Superior Dome.

Cancelled due to the lack of snow. The Dam Phunski is a scenic point-to-point classic and freestyle cross country ski course along the scenic Old Highway 131 Trail. Proceeds benefit the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Education and Events Program. 5K is juniors race, with a kids 1K race to follow.

The Arrowhead Winter Ultra is an ultramarathon race on bike, foot or skis, covering 135 miles across the Arrowhead Region of Northern Minnesota from International Falls near the Canadian border to Tower, MN.

Changed to a walking event due to low snow. Starts and finishes at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center on the north end of town and offers numerous class awards. Skiers in the 5K Tour receive completion pins. Partnered with Susan G. Komen to raise donations to fight breast cancer.

Minocqua, WI
A one-loop marathon or half-marathon encompassing many of the best trails that Winter Park has to offer, including several technical sections and the normally classic-only Wolf Tracks and Nekoosa trails. A single classic track will be laid on the entire course. The 42km marathon is a Birkebeiner qualifier.
