Head Nordic Coach

Minneapolis South High School is seeking applicants for the position of Head Nordic Skiing Coach for the 2016-2017 winter season. South High has a long history as a large, vibrant, competitive but inclusive nordic program. Last season we had over 60 skiers with a wide range of experience and skill. Practices run 3:30 to 5:30 M-F typically with some Saturday morning practices. Dry land training is usually at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis and training on the snow is usually at Wirth Park. The Varsity team typically travels to ABR to train in December and the whole team goes to Maplelag over winter break. A successful head coach will have a strong Nordic skiing background and enthusiasm for the sport, good organizational and communication skills with youth and adults and an ability to develop training for a full range of skill levels. For questions and a more thorough job description please contact booster parent Kari Kleven at [email protected] or 612-532-4422.
