Trail Reports

2015-2016 season
Reports 1 to 6 of 6    Month: Feb | Jan | Dec
Saturday, February 13, 2016
Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Sunshine, calm wind and freshly groomed trails. Perfect for me.
I got good glide with waxless skis. The tracks had an occasional icy component.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: This morning's ski was on groomed firmed fast tracks. The campground road was a firm flat deck. Yesterday I went bushwhacking in places that haven't been skiable for a couple years.
Best skiing of the season.

Wednesday, January 27, 2016
Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Around 2 plus inches of new snow.
I followed skied in tracks on the north side and out King's Bluff and would rate the skiing as very good to excellent. Extra blue worked extra fine.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: 20 degrees and the tracks had about an inch of powder.
I skied the south tracks and the very top of the north side (off the main parking lot)and they were fast and hard - good to very good skiing. I tried a couple hundred meters or so on the rest of the north side and found mostly poor icy ski ruts. All in all good skiing if you pick and choose your route.

Saturday, January 9, 2016
Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Around an inch of fresh granular snow filled in the tracks so the skiing was a bit of a slog. Once skied in the tracks were still a bit slow.
All in all fair with prospects for getting better.
