Morning
Grooming
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
Unless there is a miracle and we get a boat load of snow, it's looking like the Wolverine Trails will be closing and will not be grooming. The trails are icy, bare in spots and there are trees down. If conditions change we will keep you posted. Snowshoeing may still be possible but use caution.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Trails have survived the thaw for the most part. Things are pretty thin, and the base is still in the process of freezing. 1-2 inches of snow from last night were groomed in. No classic tracks at this time. Temps were below freezing all day. It appears that the Hospital Half of the Wolverine Loop will need a few more inches to fill in some short gaps and skiers should use caution until more snow arrives. Hard to believe it is still February out there. I have seen more snow here in May. The groomers are doing an excellent job with what they have.

The trails froze hard overnight. Conditions were icy in the early morning with fast downhills. After 10am the snow started to soften as temps rose. A good morning to practice double poling. Groomers on deck waiting for the right temps.
