Trail Reports

2022-2023 season
Reports 1 to 10 of 25    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
One or two big big loops groomed recently. Some trails skied-in, some I had to break trail. High 30's, full sun. Track started getting soft around noon. But not bad at all. Fischer Superlite Crown worked great for this mixed bag of trail conditions. A touch of Swix F4 kept me gliding well. If you've put your skis away for the season you should rethink that decision!

I was surprised how skiable the eastern, easier trails were (some are closed due to logging). Quite a bit of ice, though, but with nice stretches of snow. Quite fast, so I didn't attempt the blue runs at #8 or points north.

Freshly groomed. Parts of the trail are being logged out, and expect there will be less trails available. Other than that, excellent condition for the most part. Love the fresh snow.

Nicely groomed from recent snow. Conditions vary as you move in and out of the heavily forested areas. Today, it was on the edge of Klister conditions. Beautiful skiing. One small section of trail is shut down for logging.

Trails were very icy, wide set track. Big hills were a bit of a challenge. Should be better if we get some fresh snow.

Trails are very icy and tracks are beat up. Going to stay on the easy trails of one through five and call it a day. Too risky for a 64-year-old advanced beginner with a hip replacement.

Excellent condition, trails were freshly groomed and tracked. Lots of fresh snow made for a wonderful ski.

Trails are freshly groomed and in great condition. Tracks set well in the fresh snow. Enjoy the weekend!

Observation
[ Trails Open: Most ]
Rain two days ago and wind yesterday left the condition of trails with an icy crust and exposed debris on the track. We were optimistic we would get more snow to groom tomorrow however, only about an inch. I will post when we groom again.

Grooming was great! With the big pines, trail segments to the east, 1-5 are heavily debris laden. Most of the white magic is a definite go - all on the west side of this fun and flowy trail system!
