[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are groomed for skate skiing, usually double-wide plus, with an occasional classic track where conditions permit. For the moment, there is full coverage on all the trails, including the steep hills. Gliding was great in the 5-6:20 pm time frame.

Pleasantly surprised with how nice things were this morning. Pretty smooth, fast, and sufficient snow throughout. Tracks across the entire system - looked like 1/2 to 3/4 depth most places. Groomers were out freshening up the system as I left. Well worth it for some March skiing!

Snow, snow, and more snow! Skated all the trails a couple of times, and all are looking pretty good so far- everything could use a bit more packing down, but is as wide (and fluffy) as can be for skate and tracked throughout the whole system. A few of the early uphill sections on Red/Oak Hill are uneven, but should pack down and level out with time and use. Besides that, there is nary a twig in sight, and it's white fluff next to corduroy everywhere. Huge thanks to the groomers for quick work to get things ready for the weekend!

Skate skied all the trails and connectors this morning... while the much-needed re-grooming was happening. While most of the trails have some dirt, twigs, and rocks exposed at times, the re-groomed portions were much better and I expect will continue to improve as things soften up throughout the day. As expected, Oak hill was the thinnest and hardest to navigate of all the trails- I recommend holding off on skiing Red until we get more snow. Best sections were on King Creek, but still watch for an occasional rock at intersections. As has been the case every year, there is walker damage on the trails. No classic tracks anywhere. A huge thanks to the county groomers for their maintenance and making the best of the snow we have!

Wow, really great what the groomers have been able to do with the snow right now. We were here around 9am, and had amazing fresh lines throughout the system. Full coverage with just one or two small icy spots and minimal debris. This is another classic case of the county underselling and outperforming expectations! Get past the start area and it's glorious. Even Red/Oak is open. No classic tracks yet, but if you have skate skis then check it out...or don't, and leave it as a secret gem :) Huge thanks to the county for the amazing job!
