Notes

Very scenic with views of the Flambeau River and a heavily timbered landscape. Portions of the upper loop and cutoffs on the east side of the lower loop are more challenging. There is a three-sided shelter on the west side of the upper loop.

Lovely trails and grooming today. Excellent classic tracks. Skied south from highway 70. Saw one other skier, a skater who was also "in heaven". Thank you!

Trails are freshly groomed and tracked and are in excellent condition! Come explore over 16 miles of beautiful and scenic trails that wind along the historic Flambeau River and weave through a variety of forest types. You might even see our growing heard of Elk! The weather will be great the next few days, so get out and enjoy it while it's here! Support our trails, State Trail Pass is required.

Excellent, Some of the best ski conditions I've seen at Flambeau Hills. Freshly groomed with full depth, clean track fast conditions but with great ski control. Preparing for the nights candlelight ski which is the best one I have ever gone to. Kudos DNR and volunteers and happy 25th anniversary! Forgot to mention we saw a elk on the way out of the woods, wow, cool close up!

Trails have been cleared of debris and freshly groomed for skate skiing. We are hoping for another few inches of snow to help build the base before we start setting track. Trails are in very good condition.
