Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good, recent snow and grooming, may use good skis.
The trails were groomed for skating and diagonal stride after 2 inches of snow on Monday. The groomed in new snow helped fill in the ruts and smooth out the bumps in the skate lane. The reset classic track was a bit shallow, but was firm enough to track your skis in most areas. Very little debris present.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Skating very good. Classic good to very good.
The park got 6 inches of snow in the past 4 days. The skate and the classic track on the blue red and black trails were groomed on Wednesday. The skate lane was re groomed on all trails today. The skate lane skied medium firm and fast glide. The classic track is firm and fast. A few areas of light debris. Best ski I've here this season. Way to keep at it groomers Kim and Dennis.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good, tracked and groomed.
Was pleasantly surprised at the good ski conditions. Thought the rain we had a couple days ago would have made them ugly but not so. Had to brave the cold temps but it was worth it.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good to very good skate, fair to excellent classic.
The skate lane was regroomed today on the blue red and black loops. Skiing it after was smoother and faster than yesterday. Glide was excellent everywhere; a few soft pole plants on uphills. The classic track has held up well with very few skied out areas. The best skate and classic conditions are on the black and red return loops. Big Shout Out to groomers Steve, Carl and Ron who whipped the trails into shape since our last snowfall.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good for both classic and skate. Good snow coverage and grooming. Thank you groomers!
We enjoyed all the trails - blue, green, black and red. One of us was skating and the other two classic. Good tracks throughout. Skate lane narrow in some places. Good snow coverage throughout with just a few icy spots. Unfortunately we ran into two snowmobilers that came down the lane that were not groomers!!

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good to fair classical improving skate.
Today we regroomed our recent 13 inch snowfall. The blue and red skate lanes were compacted and combed. The green starting loop was compacted and the classic track reset. The classic track on the blue and red trails was set on Dec 30 and remains in good to fair condition. The starting green loop was compacted and classic track reset. The classic track and skate lane have stretches of thin and bare spots for the first 1/4 mile, but after crossing the plowed road conditions are better. To avoid this; park at the park at the area near the group campgrounds{turn right where the sign says turn left for ski parking) find the unmarked parking area and climb over the snow piles to find the trail with the better snow. I did not ski the trails, but the snow behind the groomer looked level and firm. Finished grooming 1 hour before dark so it should set up nice over night. Hope you have a chance to get out and let know. Happy New Year.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
The park received 13 inches of snow. The trails were compacted on Tuesday and groomed and tracked on today. At 3pm at 27 degrees F the skate deck and classic track were slow skiing and soft. The best area was the return loop of the blue trail right after the last grooming pass. The year end grooming goal is to continue compacting and tracking to provide a quality New Years skiing experience.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good! Rolled and tracked.
We received over a foot of snow in Door County a few days ago and the groomers have been busy rolling and tracking the trails. The blue and green trails have been enjoyed by quite a few skiers and the red and black loops were receiving their first treatments today as we were out skiing. Got to skate ski on virgin corduroy and glide in beautiful tracks! The base is a bit soft but it is a winter wonderland right now. Thank you groomers!
