Groomed cross-country ski trails in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. A warming shelter with fireplace is available in the south picnic area.Trail Reports

Trails were last groomed today and are in fair to good condition. There is a few bare spots with a lack of snow fall.

Pike Lake Unit received around 2 inches of snow yesterday. Trails groomed this morning. Skate lanes are in good condition. Track was set and is in fair condition, with numerous thin spots.

Both classic and skate lanes were groomed this afternoon. The classic lane is in good condition. The track is in fair-poor condition. We need fresh powder!

Skating was very good, fast in most spots but not icy. A little dirty (wood chips) near the start of brown/blue loops, but after that in very good shape for the rest of the trail.

Trails were groomed this morning, classic and skate. The skate lanes are in good shape, a few thin spots. The classic lanes are starting to suffer with the lack of fresh snow.

Coverage and grooming at Pike Lake were very good. Cold weather has made the corduroy crunchy but quick.

Very scenic. Ski-only section of the trail was groomed and nice. However, the multi-use section is unfit for skiing. In that section of the park, one downhill has a step that is essentially a one foot drop. Also, there are multiple road crossings. Although the multi-use section was listed for hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing, I wouldn't recommend it for skiing.
