Afternoon
Observation
No grooming yet as of 2:00 PM. About 6 inches of new snow over bare ground. A fair amount of moisture in the snow, but not slushy. Since there was no grooming yet, I opted to play on the sledding hill and golf course across the street at Pets.

Looks like the groomers touched up the trails - they're in excellent condition. Skate deck was firm, and the classic tracks looked good. Get out there and enjoy it!

I had a great ski at UW-Parkside! So nice not having to drive hours north to find skiable trails! Skate deck was firm and snow was fast! No bare ground and almost no leaves or needles on the trail. I skated the outside loop and added an extra loop around the Pine forest each of three times around to get in a great 20K workout. Many thanks to the grooming team! Get out and ski at UW-Parkside while the weather is nice!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
My first time at the UW Parkside course! Trails had good coverage, no grass or bare spots on the portion I skied. Skate deck was mostly firm with a few softer areas in the open fields. It's little uneven and narrow in places and shallow ruts are starting to form on some hills and corners, but overall very good, enjoyable conditions.

Groomed all trails for classic and skating. Grooming plans: One of the team will likely get out to touch it up again Monday. Get out there to ski it in and have fun!

Groomer showed up just before 1:00 PM and started putting in a classic lane. I was finishing then, so I only skied a short section that was groomed. We got about 8 inches of new fluffy snow on top of a frozen snow base. This is very good snow.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
As of this morning around 11:30 the trails hadn't been groomed, but a few people had broken trail on a two mile loop. Probably 6-8 inches of powder overall, a little thin in the trees along HWY 31 but not bad.
