Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We survived the melt! I headed out this evening not knowing what to expect. The surface was shiny, but it was easily shattered to get to a snow like substance below. The entire system was scratched and tracks set in the woods. The skate deck will be quite firm by Thursday morning, but I think it will be controllable.

Excellent skiing! The new grooming was nice. Most of the trails are open, just the one that goes around the corn field is not. A little bit of debris on the trails.

Grooming

The skate deck was getting a little groovy, so it was scratched up this morning with the Tidd Tech. The tracks look good.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Near perfect conditions this weekend. I classic skied Saturday and Sunday and the tracks were deep and fast. They were set perfectly, allowing good transitions on the corners. The skate deck was also very nice: firm with good edge control. The South fields had no tracks but is was very stride-able on the skate deck.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Grooming went very well and the trails are in great shape. Big thanks to Dallas Sloan for dragging Tuesday night and rolling this evening. The trails got three passes with the drag on Tuesday, two passes with the roller this evening and 2-3 passes with the Tidd Tech tonight. I really shouldn't complain, but 2 inches of snow at a time going forward would be fine. Thanks to everyone for cooperating tonight. With the cold temps the trails should set up nicely and should be very durable.

Evening
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate deck has been refreshed after the melt on Thursday. It really groomed up nice. Expect solid conditions, but not icy on Saturday. The tracks looked to be in good shape and were not redone. The east field was done as well for skate only.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We groomed last nights 3" of fluff on Tuesday morning. With the upcoming weather, we didn't do the fields, but the woods are in great shape.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
There were really good conditions for skating and striding today. The skate deck in the woods and on the school property was surprisingly firm and smooth 1/2" of skied in powder on top. It seemed to ski faster than expected, even with cold temperatures. The classic tracks over those same trails looked pristine and should be great this week. The trails in the south fields are groomed but very soft and irregular right now. It would be best to avoid them until they are groomed again. Tyler did a masterful job whipping 12-15" of new snow into shape.

t's a winter wonderland in the woods. Everything is groomed with tracks in the woods and the field is skate only. I would recommend skiing Saturday night as we have some serious cold coming. It will be soft, but beautiful.

Thin base, some bare spots but you can avoid those. The fields are not groomed yet, or at least not fully. There was an inch of new snow on top of the grooming, in the woods and main trail it had been packed down hard by lots of skis over it.
