Skied classic from 10 - 11:30 am. Tracks had snow in them in some spots - especially in the lower stadium - and were shallow in some spots. Totally skiable and good practice but may be a challenge for beginners. The downhills were slower which is good in my book! Snow guns were blowing on the tubing hill. It was windy especially near the roundabout but nice in the woods. There were few skiers - maybe 5 classic skiers. Great day to ski! Pictures of Lower Stadium, Green Meadow and Jim's Hill.

Of course, there's no question that conditions are very good or excellent on what is open of it--now 2.5 K with the addition of Green Meadow. Well, there were a few icy spots where today's skiers scraped the loose snow off the surface, but these were easily avoidable once one knew to be on the lookout for them. The place was a carnival with high schoolers when I arrived at 4:30, but by 6 pm had turned to serenity. The dark side of Green Meadow was not too dark to ski without a headlamp, thanks to the waxing moon and cloud cover.

Skied classic from 10 - 11am. Conditions were fast but not icy - I was able to stay in tracks on uphills with fish scales. Tracks were broken down in some spots, also debris in some areas. The downhills were too fast for my liking so I stayed on Green Meadow and the small hills on Jim's Hill. It wasn't crowded at all. It was a really nice day for skiing!

Green Meadow trail is now open, bringing the current snowmaking loop up to around 2.5k, plus the lesson area in Lower Stadium. Green Meadow does not have lights, so bring a headlamp if you are skiing in the dark.

Perfect conditions this early morning for skating, and solid classic tracks. Great to have the climbs open to Coaches Corner and Jim's Hill, as well as the flats of the Green Meadow. Lots of good variety and plenty of space for everyone - thanks for the excellent grooming, Robert and the rest of the Loppet trails crew! Amazing job.

Trails were groomed up to Coaches' Corner. Great to be out there and recognize so many of the Nordic crowd. Tracks were very good throughout the 1.5k loop. Kudos to the groomers!

The par 3 cutoff of the Green Meadow Loop is now open, for a total of around 750 meters. This section is unlit, so bring a headlamp if you are skiing in the dark. Snowmaking wrapped up tonight on the Jim's Hill section, and pushing will begin soon there, with Coach's Corner following soon after.

Cold. Windy. Abrasive snow. But it is snow! Still about 200 meters of track, but I can imagine much more being opened soon. The four tracks in the middle are solid, but you need to ski out at the end and step turn to get back in going the other direction. Kudos to the Wirth trail crew!!
