Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good, not too icy.
The trails were in great shape on Sunday. Well groomed corduroy, deep classic tracks. Everything was a little icy with the thaw and shade. It made skiing fast and fun, but getting an edge was easy when you needed it. The classic loop was spectacular in the sun and klister was bomber (as expected).

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Pretty nice, with a few caveats.
Light layer of fluff over packed and tracked trail. Seems a little narrower than normal, perhaps because of less snow. Track occasionally "wobbles" on shared trails, but is pretty straight on the classic-only trail--good glide; also good glide for skate (did both). White Pine, Oak, River, and tree-lined areas of the Loop trail had some debris, but most of the trails were A-skiable. Where White Pine comes back into the Loop, it looked like someone drove a vehicle onto the trail, then realized they were not on a road. Walkers unfortunately also on many trails (not just Loop), despite the clear grooming and tracking. Great weather, and groomers are doing well with what they have!

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Excellent skiing both skate and classic. Inch of fresh snow over pretty recent grooming. Little Joe Rapids is roaring, high water in the river! Pictures tell the story.

Grooming
Conditions: Very good- 3-4" base with 3 inches of fresh snow.
~ 3" of fresh snow fell over the past day and trails are in the process of being groomed for the upcoming weekend. There is about 12" of snow in the woods with a 3-4" base on the trails.

Outstanding! Newly groomed entire system at 1PM Saturday. Lots of untouched corduroy, it was a bit slow, but the how it goes. Wonderful ski with Sam.

Grooming Scheduling
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Good to excellent. Track is setting well but snow is sparse in some spots under heavy conifer canopy.
Fresh snow and cool temperatures over night allowed the snow to harden up and grooming to commence! Trails are being groomed this morning and track is holding up well.

Grooming Scheduling
Conditions: Fair: soft in locations with debris in some areas from strong winds.
Grooming is planned for Saturday morning as we are waiting for the temperatures to fall so we can adequately groom the trail.
