Afternoon
Observation
Not groomed. Bummer! Saw where someone had gone out making their own trail with both skate and classic skis. Not for us.

The skate deck firmed-up nicely after last night's grooming and temperature drop. The track was firm and fast. Get out early!

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I made one pass on the skate deck Saturday night on most trails except Red Pine and Nebagamon. I was able to groom out the old ruts but some sections may be a bit crunchy until it softens a bit. Morning will be the best conditions before the temperature rises. The fat bike trail is groomed too and riding well.

Wonderful wonderful. Classic was the way to go. Skate deck looked very soft but classic had a slight glaze on the tracks that made for a fun ski. It had been freshly groomed just before I arrived. School kids were doing their version of the Birkie that morning, great to see so many enthusiastic young skiers out on the trail!

Trails freshly groomed post storm, so it was a bit soft but skiable. Didn't see much debris. Skied maple to oak and back.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We skied After Hours this afternoon. Most of the trail had just been groomed to perfection. The skate deck was slightly soft, wide and even. The classic tracks were soft, but deep and straight. Someone had skied out a few of the corners before we got there. There is debris in quite a bit of the tracks after a certain point and some on the skate deck, but it wasn't horrible. The classic only trails had not been groomed but the snowshoe trails had been.

Groomed well, track set. Pretty fast, got there just before the temp hit 30. But much debris on most trails. To be safe, use back up skis.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I finished grooming Rec Pine and Nebagamon and freshened up all the skate decks. The classic trail was groomed twice yesterday and looks great.

Trails were in good condition where grooming had taken place on Thursday and Friday, which was most trails, but not all. Red Pine and Nebagamon Creek were not groomed and White Pine and other areas had only 1/2 skating lane groomed but it still made for pretty good skiing. Brule received at least 3 inches of snow on Wednesday morning once the rain turned to snow, so it is not icy at all. It also allowed for setting good tracks for classic.
