The cold temps mostly firmed up the snow and the skier volume is making the center of the skating deck a bit boilerplate, especially within 2K of the chalet. But overall very good skating conditions. Too thin to set a track, but maybe that will change with more snow.

Re-groomed this morning and the skating deck is much firmer. No tracks set. Occasional thinnish (but not thin) spots where the groomer brought up forest litter. The groomer tracks are visible in many spots but really are not a problem. Very good skating.

All trails were groomed by 1:00 or so. The groomer brought up some forest litter in places. About 5" of new snow, so it is softish. No tracks set.

It's skiable in just over half the trail. But there are also spots where there's just not enough snow yet (hopefully tomorrow!). In the areas where there is snow not as lumpy as I was expecting. I did avoid hills because of low snow, and did fall hard on my knee because of some dirt I didn't see in one spot. But was able to ski wide open on certain trails for a good hour! There's some good coverage in some spots away from the warming house. Still great to be out for the first time. Snow was rather packed aka trail wasn't too fluffy. So to sum up, watch out but skiable with rock skis.

Used Fish scales. Received 2-3 inches of wet snow Dec 4th. Skied 4K yesterday and 8k today not ideal skiing but it was great to start the season!
