First and foremost - a huge thank you to all the county workers and everyone involved in the cleanup and grooming efforts these last few days! You'll see when you're out just how much there was to clean up and what a great job these folks have done, and how much love they clearly have for our community in their efforts to get us out skiing as soon as possible. Heck of a holiday gift. Thank you! Skied a full tour of Tower today and the whole lighted loop is skiing great! The groomers were still out working while I was skiing, but when I hit them, the outer loops - especially the hills like Big Falls and Dipsy Deux, and the donut loop - are still mostly ungroomed rough going with plenty of debris left to clear out or get covered up by this week's coming snow. I'd avoid going out there, but if you avoid those spurs and keep to Lookout, I-Loop, Liljehammer, etc., you can still make a longer circuit around the park and it's all great groomed trail. One spot that was still rough and softer that was closer to the Chalet was Drifter. That stretch will likely be a lot softer with some prominent tire tracks, though it is tracked on one side and is technically groomed out and can be skied, and is free of debris. Stadium and the lighted loop are extra firm and well groomed, and almost totally clear of debris. Anyone looking for bigger hill thrills can enjoy Ruby and cardiac climb/the hills on the lighted loop. Some minor (though this is pretty typical every year) debris to avoid while going down Ruby. If you've ever followed skiers in Scandinavia on social media and got jealous of the winterscapes out there, you'll be amazed at the beauty left by last weekend's blizzard. It's just stunning!

Not groomed but people are still skiing. Plenty of snow, but rough going. Trees are down in some places. Chainsaw volunteer showed up just as we were leaving.

Saw a notification from the county that they groomed the green trails out at Tower, so decided to check it out. Well, if they had groomed, I must have missed where that section was. It was sorta skiable still, felt more like backcountry skiing. Not smooth at all, I didn't see any indication of a groomer having been through recently. I was willing to rough it, shake some trees loose, pick up sticks, and make it maybe a little easier to get the groomer out sooner. Unfortunately, not meant to be - the basket of one of my poles came loose off; I found it, but then decided to not push my luck and just headed back. Good temps and good snow out there though.
