Skied the wilderness trails today. Big pine, Cedar creek and Tamarack pond were groomed last night and it was in the best conditions that I have seen in years. These trails are a blast to ski when you can catch them in prime conditions like this. These trails are single track classic. A totally different kind of ski than the main trails.

The conditions Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were simply awesome and Winter Park. The grooming and trail conditions were the best I've ever seen/skied at MWP. The tracks were deep and hard, and anything a shade of green or blue provided great kick. The skate deck was flat and firm. The grooming was quite impressive, they have great equipment, skilled and dedicated groomers, and evidently the budget necessary to groom to perfection. Lake Marie trail closed. due to logging.

Skied Wolf Tracks Rendezvous Saturday. What a dream! This is a place you can actually ski, get into a groove, and just enjoy the beauty of nature. The trails were perfect. Skaters loved skiing there as well. I did classic. Tracks were well set, beautiful, a joy. Thank you Winter Park!

Great Job Grooming! The trails that were groomed today were spectacular. Trails that were groomed yesterday or the day before crusty but very good. Great skating, even in classic skis. Just a little powder on top made the tracks skiable. The no-wax skis worked better then Swix Blue, but klister would probably have been killer. The expert trails on the ridge were closed, but I wouldn't have wanted to ski them today. The back country and single tracks were ungroomed. River Run was wonderful, fast glide, rock solid tracks and plenty of control when needed.

Newly groomed trails provided just enough soft snow cover over hard flat base to make great skate conditions. Long stable glide. Easy to go far and fast. Fun. Thanks Winter Park.

It feels like winter again! Excellent conditions, fast and firm skate deck. Hard to imagine that it could be better. Classic tracks were deep and solid. Beautiful day. Got to share the trail with a very large porcupine for a while, but I was able to dust him after a bit.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We survived the meltdown with plenty of base to work with. The pisten Bully was out all night and into the morning tilling up the icy layer. It is slow going since we need to go over the trails twice to make them look good. We were able to reset tracks to full depth. It will take several more days to get through all the trails. Expect great skiing for the weekend.

Was better than I would have guessed after yesterday's rain. Skating was slow, but good enough for a nice ski. skating deck was faster than the tracks. Hardly any dirt, firm base if you skated close to the tracks. Only sank down occasionally.

Yes, it was warm and rained a bit, but the trails were amazingly well groomed. Smooth firm skate deck and classic track was holding up very well. Minimal amounts of debris. Skin skis and universal klister worked very well, with decent glide. Well done, as usual.

Good day to ski, went out twice to experiment. Excellent classic, great day for waxless or a little Klister.
