Great Job Grooming! The trails that were groomed today were spectacular. Trails that were groomed yesterday or the day before crusty but very good. Great skating, even in classic skis. Just a little powder on top made the tracks skiable. The no-wax skis worked better then Swix Blue, but klister would probably have been killer. The expert trails on the ridge were closed, but I wouldn't have wanted to ski them today. The back country and single tracks were ungroomed. River Run was wonderful, fast glide, rock solid tracks and plenty of control when needed.

Newly groomed trails provided just enough soft snow cover over hard flat base to make great skate conditions. Long stable glide. Easy to go far and fast. Fun. Thanks Winter Park.

It feels like winter again! Excellent conditions, fast and firm skate deck. Hard to imagine that it could be better. Classic tracks were deep and solid. Beautiful day. Got to share the trail with a very large porcupine for a while, but I was able to dust him after a bit.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We survived the meltdown with plenty of base to work with. The pisten Bully was out all night and into the morning tilling up the icy layer. It is slow going since we need to go over the trails twice to make them look good. We were able to reset tracks to full depth. It will take several more days to get through all the trails. Expect great skiing for the weekend.

Was better than I would have guessed after yesterday's rain. Skating was slow, but good enough for a nice ski. skating deck was faster than the tracks. Hardly any dirt, firm base if you skated close to the tracks. Only sank down occasionally.

Yes, it was warm and rained a bit, but the trails were amazingly well groomed. Smooth firm skate deck and classic track was holding up very well. Minimal amounts of debris. Skin skis and universal klister worked very well, with decent glide. Well done, as usual.

Good day to ski, went out twice to experiment. Excellent classic, great day for waxless or a little Klister.

Fast tracks, core trails were really firm. Enjoyed the meticulous grooming. Skied River Run, Nepcos, and Silver Strider.

Surprisingly good skiing until the sun warmed and slowed the snow. No dirt, or tree debris. Tracks in great shape.

Spring skiing in January! A lot of trails groomed this morning. Skate deck was like skiing on a pillow. Firm underneath but the top inch was cushiony soft. Perfect for me. Started slowing down by noon with the warm sun. More trails will be groomed tonight.
