Happy spring Equinox! Very good mid-winter conditions this morning for both skating and classic. The snow base is deep. We plan to watch the weather and continue grooming at least a portion of the trail system.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After the heavy weekend snowfall, all trails were groomed today. Some trails are not groomed to the usual width, but all are wide enough for skating with a classic track. Get out and enjoy it!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We received over 6" of heavy snow on Monday. We were out this morning and groomed the following trails for classic and skating: Alternative Trail, Short Loop, Cervenka's Curl, and Engagement Loop. Have fun! Conditions are good on the groomed trails but better early in the day before the sun softens it.

Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
First time here classic skiing. Maybe little more hilly than I like but the trails were just groomed including tracks. This would be an ideal place for skate skiers because the trails nice and wide and didn't see anyone else but yet parking lot had plenty of cars. The groomer said he hadn't groomed the west Timberland property in over a week but I checked it out and skied it too. The double tracks looked almost untouched by skiers and no one else was there.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails have been groomed for classic and skating since yesterday's snow. Conditions are looking good! We are dealing with a lot of overhanging trees and branches, but the groomers were able to get all trails opened. Groomed two passes wide: Alternative Trail, Lighted Trail, Corkscrew, and Ridge Run. All other trails were groomed one pass wide.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
It has snowed most of the day and the icy base is all covered. Today I went out for a ski - it was a nice day to ski at a slower pace and enjoy the scenery. Grooming plans: We will be out grooming after the snow stops - the weighted down trees will continue to be an issue, but we hope to have plenty of trails groomed before the weekend.

We received about an inch of rain yesterday - but our deep snow base is intact and the temperature is dropping. We did get a dusting of new snow at the end of the storm. We attempted some grooming today, but we found it too soft to continue. So we are waiting for it to freeze/drain and will be back out when we can. I skied what was groomed today and several kilometers that wasn't groomed. All was very skiable. I didn't sink down much on the skis, but soft pole plants showed how soft the base is. It is in the process of freezing.
