Grooming Scheduling
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Groomed Mary's Frolic for skate, Ridge Trail skate and classic and Doug's Folly and HairRaiser tracked for classic early this morning. The best condition they've been in this year.
As of 1 o'clock this afternoon more snow is falling steadily. Will wait to groom again early tomorrow morning. Will try to get all skate and classic trails done by noon.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Razorback trails currently have about 3 inches of snow, ungroomed, on top of the base. Skiing today will be slower and more work because of that.
Because of the work schedules of myself and Bruce, it will be tomorrow night before we can do a complete regroom. If I can squeeze in a couple hours tonight I will try and get at least Roller Coaster groomed for skate and Ridge Trail and Will's Crossing tracked for classic. Maybe Doug's Folly for classic also. Sorry for the grooming delay, but that's what work schedules will do sometimes.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: On a scale of 1-5, I give the skate trails a 3.5 and the classic trails a 4.5.
I found the skate deck to be a little less firm than I would like. There were also a few low snow spots but they are easy to ski around. I found the classic tracks to be excellent. They were firm but they were a little slow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good! A few spots of dirty snow, but they were easy to avoid. Classic tracks were fast with a firm base. Minimal debris present, and fresh grooming throughout. Skate lane looked great too!
Fantastic skiing at Razorback. Lots of happy people out there. The groomers have done a great job this season. Nice to see the sun!

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Groomed and tracked all classic loops this morning. Almost everything is good to very good, some even excellent. Groomed Roller Coaster skate loop this morning as well. Remaining skate loops will be groomed very early tomorrow morning.
Inch by inch we're building a base. Had to clean up short sections of trail on Hair Raiser and Lions Pride where rogue snowmobilers came over a berm from a plowed road 1/8-mile from ski trails. Loops are back in great shape now. You don't want to know the bad words I said to myself.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Groomed and tracked all classic loops on Fri. afternoon. Skate loops were groomed early this morning.
Went back out after grooming today and skied two classic loops. Tracks are very good to excellent on about 99.9 percent of the classic loops. Skate lane looks equally good. New signage has been put up at trailhead directing snowshoers to their trail, okaying skijoring on skate lanes only on Thursdays and Sundays and informing skiers that no loose dogs are allowed on trails at any time during ski season (had a large dog pockmarking Ridge Trail yesterday).

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Solid tracks for classic ski with about 2 inches of fresh powder snow.
Skied Will's Crossing for a quick run, beneath fresh snow were solid fast tracks.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: New 1/2 inch snow layer covering the base. A little slow for skating, but trails are all in good shape. Well worth it.
The classic tracks looked to be in good shape. Classic skiers I met said they had fun.

Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Had to take EMS rescue sleds on Doug's Folly and Hair Raiser classic loops this afternoon. Tore it up a little bit. Regroomed what I could, but there are now a few poor pieces of trail.
Good news is that it appeared the woman was not seriously injured, though she twisted her knee when falling on a downhill on Hair Raiser. Take a little extra care when skiing the affected trail section.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: All loops were groomed early this morning. Skate trails are mostly good to very good. Had trouble with someone who drove trucks onto a section of Long Rider to cut firewood. Hopefully they got the message and won't be back. Set track on all classic loops. Surprisingly good with only a few short pieces through pine thickets where snow was thin.
We waited until this morning to groom as yesterday's snow was too wet to do much with. Both skate and classic turned out quite good. I wouldn't be afraid to use A skis on everything.
