Trail Reports

2015-2016 season
Reports 22 to 24 of 24    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec

Evening
Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: With another four inches or so we'll be able to set track. For now we have a fairly good skiable base, especially for skating.
Groomed all loops Tuesday night except for Wild Thing. Chainsawed my way through a section on Lions Pride that had several trees down since last clean-up. Also cut out a huge pine across Doug's Folly, so that loop is now completely open. Could try to set some shallow track, but it would probably be pretty lousy, so we'll wait for a little more snow.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Sayner did not get the snow other areas got Monday, but the two inches we did get, along with the two we had on the ground has made Razorback Ridges trails at least skiable. Most loops were lightly groomed on Sunday, leaving a fair base. Tonight we will groom all loops. Still not enough for setting a track.
I would recommend using rock skis at this time. Careful skiing could allow use of "A" skis, but there will be patches of grass, twigs and other litter to avoid.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Definitely skiable, but could use a bit more snow.
Many of the trails were ungroomed, but we saw the groomer at work just as we were leaving. We had no trouble skiing on some of the ungroomed trails.
