Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
After groomers set track and skate lane this morning, a good falling of snow covered the cords but tracks were still visible. Skate lane had good glide and classic had good kick with waxless. Groomers will be out daily packing the new snow that is still coming down lightly. Ladies Lunch and ski lesson this Saturday, Dec 16th, 9-12 (details on website).

Great skiing conditions even after 4" of fluffy snow fell after groomers set track and corduroy in the morning. Volunteer groomers will be out Sunday morning. A good base setting up nicely. Over 15" of snow in the woods waiting for the snowshoers to hit the snowshoe marked trails.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The volunteer groomers have been out preparing a good base for the year. They have been tirelessly shoveling and packing slightly wet patches. Trail base varies between 3-6" and lake effect snow continues to fall today. Light, large flakes. Striding is best with no wax. Tracks are strong and firm in most places, downhills are quick. Good pre-winter conditions all-around. Skate lane has soft corduroy. A few wet and frozen patches on the Wolverine, Cliff Trail and Cliff Hanger Trails. Warm chalet is open.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Rolled and combed varying width. Trails are in early season condition with some soft and uneven sections. There are also some small patches with wet/bare ground and ice that can be easily avoided. Classic looks to be a bit better than skate for now. The Wolverine Loop and Novice Loop remain closed between the hospital and chalet until December 1st. Thank you to all the volunteers who have been prepping the trails over the last few weeks.

Not groomed, a few wet areas that can be skied around. Plenty of snow (12") with branches and trees hanging low. Portions of the Wolverine Loop remain closed until after Thanksgiving, but all other trails remain open. Ski with caution, and have fun!
