We got about 3-4" of snow in Prior Lake last night. Cleary trails had been packed but were very soft. No track was set.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Fresh skate deck corduroy thanks to groomer. Skied from about 10:30 to 12 noon. Some icy spots. Some thinning of base. I used my good skate skis, but B skis probably better choice. Still good solid snow base on most of the trails. Classic track not redone and looked icy.

Cleary is still holding up under the warm conditions, skated all loops and still had pretty good glide. Classic track shallow but still there.

Skated under the lights at Cleary and found the conditions surprisingly good, skate deck was still holding up and classic track was shallow but still present. Lots of deer out on the trail made for a nice night.

All the trails were in excellent condition for skating with minimal leaf/stick/bark debris. Classic tracks appeared to be well set most everywhere. No ice.

I skated the perimeter except for Lower Ironwood. The skate deck was in very good condition. Classic track was shallow where I saw it. Loose snow on sun-exposed portions were sometimes glazed with a hint of moisture and faster; the snow on the mostly shaded portions was dry and slower but did not impede me too much. No bare spots or ice. It was 29 degrees according to Google, I used FastWax Red LF. No surprise for a supposedly warmer Sunday there were lots of classic skiers and couple of slower skaters on Poplar Creek and Lakeside. However, the wind made it really cold in the open on the paved trail that I walked with my son and granddaughter beforehand.

Excellent condition. Tracks set. Very few leaves I skied all classic trails. There was no bare ground. Weather was near zero and trail was fast.

Cleary is groomed and tracked, as expected a little soft. Classic track was good a small amount of debris, skate deck soft.
